Old sailor Chris Christofferson eagerly await the arrival of the grown daughter Anna, which sent five years to live with relatives in Minnesota. After a violent storm attacks a city in the Maine, a near cloud of the fog appears in the next morning. Since the fog quickly wraps the area, a group of the people is acquired trapped in a shop of local warehouse - between them, artist David Drayton and his five-year-old son.
