Carlito Brigante is published by the prison after the serving five years of a lot of longer Streckens. He promises to go just and to live life as a fine, straight citizen. He lights even a novel with his ex-lover again. However, the partners of Carlito cannot seem to leave him in peace. his nephew includes him a poolroom gunfight, his lawyer asks him for “Bevorzugungen” which spiral from the control, and even an old friend (now bound a wheel chair paraplegisch), tries to get him in difficulties with the law. Carlito decides to make a run for Florida and the promise of a new life, but has a dramatic final escape to make from some bonnets which think (wrong) that he was behind the murder of her boss.
