Big JAKE MCCANDLES is on the lane on the robbers in this drama of action which stretches from Texas to Mexico. It is 1909 and the Old West gives in to modern time. When the gang of outlaw led evil raids of drunk John Fain Jake’s ranch and kidnaps his 8-year-old grandson, the wife of Jake, that he did not see in 18 years, sends for her husband to save the boy. While law gives hunt in the unstable cars, Jake’s saddles above with an Indian boy scout, a faithful dog and a box of silver. But the payment of ransom is not Jake’s idea of good old justice of border.

Based on the book the Dumas club, written by Arturo Perez-Reverte. The doyen Corso, a dealer of a bit seedy rare book, is hired by a mysterious boss who has just entered of the possession of one of three only copies of the Nine Doors of the Kingdom of Blackness (a text of occult sciences of the 17th century said to give not thinkable power to his owner). The man rents Corso to find the two other copies and compare them with sound, but complications - so natural as supernatural - happen in every tower.
