Young lady Marple is invited for London to see his friendly old man Ruth. Young lady Marple was a sort of fellow traveler to Ruth and his sister, Carrie Louise. Ruth is bothered on Carrie Louise. She does not know why, though. Ruth asks Young lady Marple to come with her to the property of his sister, Stonygates. The Stonygates is an enormous house of mansion, and some buildings and the lands are used by the current husband of Carrie Louise, Lewis, like a reformatory of youthful criminals. Young lady Marple finds the people who survives there - the granddaughter Gina de Carrie Louise and his American discontented husband Walter; Stephen and Alex Restarick, stepsons of Carrie Louise during his first marriage; Edgar Lawson, mentally unstable secretary of Lewis; and the daughter of Carrie Louise, Mildred, who is jealous of Gina. Soon, the stepson of Carrie Louise during his second marriage is outstanding. He is Christian Guldbrandsen, and he directs the confidence that contributes to a fraction of the bottoms used to direct Stonygates. He and Lewis speak in deprived. Then on that night, Edgar begins to flutter a weapon in turn and recite that Lewis is his father. Lewis takes it to his office where the argument is even more heated. After some minutes, two shots are heard, and I shout soon hysterically. The door opens to reveal Lewis, unhurt. He lacked Edgar. Nevertheless, the body of the Christian Guldbrandsen is discovered, shot. Young lady Marple intends to find the murderer before it belongs too late to his good friend Carrie Louise.
