A psychiatrist definitely - educated leaves a theoretical career to work on an institution where his father, a novelist, lived before fact to write a book of famous children. A woman and a man wake in individual white cells in a desolate prison or psychiatric institution which carries only underwear and without every memory. They hear a foreign and creeping noise and decide to look for a way from the possibility. They meet six other strangers in the same situation, and one of them is attacked and killed by a shade. While they try to escape from the place and the shade, they find the brain which washes apparatus with the announcement which had been used 8-spot. If they meet the ninth stranger, they understand that one of them lies and knows what has happened with them.
