A detective of New Orleans leads an investigation in a murderer who violates and murders women. His inquiries bring him in the sordid side of the city where he is off duty no stranger. All this contrasts with his house life as a single parent with two young girls. Then on the case he meets rape adviser beryl Thibodeaux, with whom a respect which maybe offers a normality, starts to develop.
