David Mamet takes this history of thieves along many twists and turns, among which some people work and among which some people do not make. Gene Hackman plays the leader shining with a gang (Delroy Lindo, Ricky Jay and Rebecca Pigeon as the rather young woman of Hackman), who takes away complex thefts for a vile fence (DANNY DEVITO). Afterwards stiffing the gang on a theft of jewelry, DeVito forces the gang to go after a Swiss gold load and use the nephew (Sam Rockwell) in crime. Nobody trusts anybody and every step is overshadowed with the unforeseen.

David Mamet prend cette histoire de voleurs le long de beaucoup de tortillons et de tours, dont certains travaillent et dont certains ne font pas. Gene Hackman joue le chef brillant d’un gang (Delroy Lindo, Ricky Jay et Rebecca Pigeon comme la femme assez jeune d’Hackman), qui enlève des vols complexes pour une clôture ignoble (Danny DeVito). Après stiffing le gang sur un vol de bijouterie, DeVito force le gang pour aller après un chargement suisse d’or et utiliser son neveu (Sam Rockwell) dans le crime. Personne ne se fie à personne et chaque pas est ombragé avec l’inattendu.

Ben Campbell is a young, highly intelligently, student in M. I. T. in Boston who strives itself to be successful. To move a learning wishing, to the school of Harvard of the medicine with the wish, to become a doctor, Ben finds out that he cannot grant the 300,000 $ since from four to five years of the school, because he comes from arms, working-class background. But one evening Ben is introduced by his unorthodox math professor Micky Rose in a small, but secret club of five students, Jill, Choi, Kianna, and Jimmy who are educated by the professor Rose of the skill of the map who counts in the Black Jack. Intriged by the wish to do money Ben to his new friends on secret weekend travelling joins to Las Vegas where, her skills of the code using, speak and hand signals, they allow to do Ben Hunderttausende of dollars in the winning Black Jack in the casino after the casino. This history writes a column of tries and trials and tribulations of COLE MCKAY, 15, a tame son who wants attention of his father with emotion distant. The cabbage is by turns nourished and left by the rest of its family; his sister Kathleen, the left brother older Jack and the rigid mother Margaret. As history unfolds every sudden member of family a crisis of their own, their individual arches interlacing up to a climax tearing off heart.

Ray Ferrier is a docker who finishes a night of the work in the morning because he works the night shift. After a misunderstanding is ordered aboard an airplane which from the control, mild-civilised Dave Buznik steps up by the judge Daniel to be present from the doctor’s friend Rydell at controlled fury-administrative meetings which are filled with highly eccentric and brief men and women. The unorthodox approach of the friend to the therapy is confrontational and polish and Dave are thereby confused. Then, afterwards one more bad luck, judge Daniel Dave orders to increase his therapy or to do bankruptcy in the prison. So, friend moves in with Dave to help him, to fight with his internal demons. Friend himself has no internal demons, because he acts with every opportunity and the doing indecent remarks about the friend of Dave Linda and coming floating Dave in confronting to every low, encloses previous or presently head-on. But friend goes, in the end, too far, and Dave must decide whether to crawl enter back into his bowl or for himself. Could it be that mistaking the friend and contradicting treatment just consist in it what the doctor ordered?.
