Norman Spencer, a learned academic, becomes more and more concerned by his wife, Clear, a cellist together reprocessed who one year ago was involved in a serious accident of auto and who has just evicted his daughter Caitlin (the stepdaughter of Norman) in the secondary school. Now, Clear signals voices of audition and fact to be witness of worrying cases in and around their edge of the lake Vermont at the home, by including the view of the face of a young woman reflected in water. Clear more and more scared thinks that phenomena have something to make with the couple living in side, especially since the woman disappeared without visible explanation. In the instigation of her husband, Clear begin seeing a therapist; she says to her that she thinks that the home is haunted by a ghost. His advice? Try to get in touch. By recruiting the help of his best friend, Jody and an advice ouija, Clear tries to discover the truth of Which Lies Underneath.
