This is the history of three sweet persons: Paul Rivers (Penn) with whom a sick mathematician without amormente got married with an English emigré (Gainsbourg), Christina Peck, the superior average class suburban housekeeper, fortunately married and the mother of two small girls, and Jack Jordan (Del Toro), an ex-convict who thought in his Christian faith that the force educates a family. They will be reconciled by a terrible accident that will modify his lives. For the final frame, none of them will be the same thing like them they will learn rough truths on love, faith, courage, wish and fault, and as the possibility can modify our worlds irreparably, forever.
