Benjamin Stone is a young doctor who goes to L. Where he was offered a new job as a specialist for plastic surgery in Beverly Hills. He gets out of the highway to avoid a back up, but is lost and ends to crash against a fence in the small town of Grady. He is condemned to 32 hours of the social service in the local hospital. Everything what he wants should serve the sentence and get moving, but bit by bit the local are added to the new doctor, and he is taken in by the pretty ambulance driver, Lou. Will he depart?.
