In 2001 is a history of the evolution. Once in the distant past somebody or some evolution stumbled, while they laid a monolith here on the earth (presumably elsewhere everywhere in the universe also) evolution then man enabled to reach the surface of the moon where he finds one more monolith, that which gives sign to the monolith soaps that we have far developed this. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and man (archer) to reach the monolith soaps, the winner will reach the following step in the evolution, whatever this can be.
