The farmer of Iowa Ray Kinsella hears a voice in his grain field telling him, "If you will build it, he will come. " He interprets this message as an education of building a field of baseball in his farm, on which the spirits of Joe Jackson Descalço appear and another seven Chicago players Sox Brancos excluded from the play to launch the World-wide Series 1919. When the voices continue, Ray looks for an author removed to help to understand it the signification of the messages and the objective of his field.

A group of analysts of security is given a job by CIA and when they grumble, pressure is exercised by threat to reveal the identity of their leader, the radical sixties with the special mandates.
