Plot Summary: 

Carlito Brigante is published by the after the serving five years of a lot of longer Streckens. He promises to go just and to live life as a fine, straight citizen. He lights even a novel with his ex-lover again. However, the partners of Carlito cannot seem to leave him in peace. his nephew includes him a poolroom gunfight, his lawyer asks him for “Bevorzugungen” which spiral from the control, and even an old friend (now bound a wheel chair paraplegisch), tries to get him in difficulties with the law. Carlito decides to make a run for Florida and the promise of a new life, but has a dramatic final escape to make from some bonnets which think (wrong) that he was behind the of her boss.

Carlito Brigante wird vom Gefängnis nach der Portion fünf Jahren eines viel längeren Streckens veröffentlicht. Er verspricht, gerade zu gehen und Leben als ein feiner, aufrechter Bürger zu leben. Er zündet sogar einen Roman mit seinem Ex-Geliebten wieder an. Jedoch können die Partner von Carlito nicht scheinen ihn in Frieden zu verlassen. sein Neffe bezieht ihn ein Billardzimmer gunfight ein, sein Rechtsanwalt bittet ihn um “Bevorzugungen”, welche Spirale aus der Kontrolle, und sogar ein alter Freund (jetzt band ein Rollstuhl paraplegisch), versucht, ihn in Schwierigkeiten mit dem Gesetz zu bekommen. Carlito entscheidet sich dafür, einen Lauf für Florida und die Versprechung eines neuen Lebens zu machen, aber hat eine dramatische Endflucht, um von einigen Motorhauben zu machen, die (falsch) glauben, dass er hinter dem Mord an ihrem Chef war.
