Plot Summary:
Although Miss Marple only wants to gild in the sun calmly in a West Indian appeal, she is tormented with annoying reminiscence by a too voluble ex-soldier and a policeman, Palgrave Important. Although he pretends to have a painting of a murderer, Miss Marple is more interested in his tricot gifted with ubiquity than her verbose stories. After the Commander harshly drinking dies this night of a visible heart attack, the good says to her that the treatment of tension found in its room belongs to another guest. When she learns later that compromising painting misses and the good is found stabs in death, Miss Marple predicts correctly that more murders will follow.
Bien que Mlle Marple veuille seulement se dorer au soleil calmement à un recours indien Ouest, elle est tourmentée avec les réminiscences ennuyeuses par un ex-soldat trop loquace et un agent de police, Palgrave Important. Bien qu’il prétende posséder une peinture d’un meurtrier, Mlle Marple s’intéresse plus à son tricot doué d’ubiquité que ses histoires verbeuses. Après que le Commandant durement buvant meurt cette nuit d’une crise cardiaque apparente, la bonne lui dit que la médication de tension trouvée dans sa pièce appartient à un autre invité. Quand elle apprend plus tard que la peinture compromettante manque et la bonne est trouvée a poignardé à mort, Mlle Marple prédit correctement que plus de meurtres suivront.
