Plot Summary:
The film turns around the park Hee-bong, a man in his by the end of the 60s. Park leads a small snack bar on the banks of Han Rivers and lives with his two sons, a daughter, and a granddaughter. The parks seem to lead a quite usual and peaceful life, but maybe a little bit more weakly than the average Seoulite. Old person son’s gang-you of Hee-bong’s is an immature and incapable man in the his 40s whose woman left long ago the home. Nam-il is the latest son, a jobless sourpuss, and daughter Nam-joo is an archery medal winner and member of the national team. One day an unknown monster suddenly appears from the depths of Han Rivers and spreads out panic and death, and daughter of the Bande-du’s Hyun-seo is carried away by the monster and disappears. All members of the family are in a big grief because they lost somebody very nicely to them. But if they find out that she is still alive, they resolve to save them.
Der Film dreht um den Park Hee-bong, einen Mann in seinem gegen Ende der 60er Jahre. Park führt eine kleine Imbissstube auf den Banken des Han Rivers und lebt mit seinen zwei Söhnen, einer Tochter, und einer Enkelin. Die Parks scheinen ein ziemlich gewöhnliches und friedliches Leben, aber vielleicht ein bisschen schwächer zu führen als der durchschnittliche Seoulite. Ältere Sohn-Bande-du von Hee-bong’s ist ein unreifer und unfähiger Mann in seinen 40er Jahren, dessen Frau vor langer Zeit das Zuhause verließ. Nam-il ist der jüngste Sohn, ein arbeitsloser Miesepeter, und Tochter Nam-joo ist ein Bogenschießen-Medaillengewinner und Mitglied der nationalen Mannschaft. Eines Tages erscheint ein unbekanntes Ungeheuer plötzlich von den Tiefen des Han Rivers und breitet Panik und Tod aus, und Tochter der Bande-du’s Hyun-seo wird durch das Ungeheuer fortgetragen und verschwindet. Alle Familienmitglieder sind in einem großen Kummer, weil sie jemanden sehr lieb zu ihnen verloren. Aber wenn sie herausfinden, dass sie noch lebendig ist, sie entschließen sich, sie zu retten.
