Plot Summary:
In summer, 1935, Briony Tallis of 13 years notices a flirting between the son of a servant, Robbie and his older sister, Cecilia, who she wrong interprets childishly. The misunderstanding of Briony causes a terrible crime by which consequences follow them by the Second World war.
