Plot Summary:
The Catholic university girl of nineteen years old Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter) dies a few days, a Teufelsaustreibung explained of her priest, father moors (Tom Wilkinson) presented. Emily believed that she authorises of six demons, and although, was owned by Emily and him parents, father moors is accused of the negligent manslaughter, since he had suggested Emily to interrupt the use of drugs for the epilepsy. To avoid a scandal, the archdiocese does the successful, ambitious and agnostic lawyer Erin Bruner (Laura Linney), and the criminal proceedings assign the religious accuser to ethane Thomas (Campbell Scott). During the days there is a fight between science and religion in the court.
Das Katholische Universitätsmädchen von neunzehn Jahren alt Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter) stirbt ein paar Tage, einer Teufelsaustreibung ausgeführt von ihrem Pfarrer, Vater Moore (Tom Wilkinson) vorgelegt. Emily glaubte, dass sie von sechs Dämonen, und obwohl autorisiert, von Emily und ihm Eltern besessen wurde, Vater Moore wird wegen des nachlässigen Totschlags angeklagt, seitdem er Emily vorgeschlagen hatte, den Gebrauch von Medikamenten für die Fallsucht zu unterbrechen.
