Plot Summary:
In the course of the fifties, in Louisiana, the smart, manipulative populist and plouc of wolf Willie is absolutely elected the governor with the support of the lower social classes. He joins a team composed of his boy de Sucre of friend and bodyguard; the journalist of an upper-class family Jack Burden; the small lobbyst Duffy Très; and his teacher Sadie Burke, to put up faced with the opposition of upper classes.
