Plot Summary:
WWII. Joe Enders, decorated Marine who is for book to a lack, is returning only to service (deceiving in his medical tests). *quot; The Boi*quot; Anderson, much more green, also if it is acquiring the same new task: Protect the Navajo codetalkers (Ben Yahzee and Charles Whitehorse, respectively). While Enders is initially frustrated with his nomination, his respect grows as the codetalkers prove his value in the brutish battle to take Saipan.
