Plot Summary:
After twelve years in the prison Walter comes in an anonymous city, moves in a small flat over the street of an elementary school, gets a job on a wooden place, and remains mainly to himself. A quiet, careful man finds Walter unexpected consolation of Vickie, a tenaciously speaking woman who promises not to negotiate him for his history. But Walter cannot escape from his past. A convicted sexual transgressor, Walter is stared by his brother-in-law, avoided from his sister, life in the fear carefully to be discovered at the work, and is hunted by a distrustful local policeman, detective Lucas. After he has helped for a young girl in a neighborhood park, Walter must also fight with the awful view of his own revived demons.
Nach zwölf Jahren im Gefängnis kommt Walter in einer namenlosen Stadt an, zieht in eine kleine Wohnung über die Straße von einer Grundschule um, bekommt einen Job an einem Holzplatz, und bleibt größtenteils zu sich selbst. Ein ruhiger, vorsichtiger Mann findet Walter unerwarteten Trost von Vickie, einer zäh sprechenden Frau, die verspricht, ihn für seine Geschichte nicht zu verhandeln. Aber Walter kann nicht seiner Vergangenheit entkommen. Ein verurteilter Sexualübertreter, Walter wird von seinem Schwager, vermieden von seiner Schwester, Leben in der Angst davor vorsichtig angestarrt, bei der Arbeit entdeckt zu werden, und wird von einem misstrauischen lokalen Polizisten, Detektiv Lucas gejagt. Nachdem er einem jungen Mädchen in einem Nachbarschaft-Park behilflich gewesen ist, muss Walter auch mit der schrecklichen Aussicht seiner eigenen wieder erweckten Dämonen kämpfen.
